2017 QI-PI Project Award Results

Once again the Top 10 Quality Process Improvement Award was a success at the CNM 2017 Symposium in St. Petersburg, FL in March 2017. Candidates submitted their projects in January and a panel of CNM judges picked the Top 10 winners from 15 applications.

Annette Dourney, RD, CNSC, Clinical Nutrition Manager at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. took first prize with her project titled: Decreasing Donor Milk Waste in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit: A Lean Process Improvement Project. Annette won free registration for the Symposium.

Symposium participants had an opportunity to view all poster submissions and choose a ‘People’s Choice’ winner. Wendy Phillips, MS, RD, CNSC, CLE, FAND, Division Director of Clinical Nutrition for Morrison Healthcare was the People’s Choice winner with her submission titled: The Braden Scale: An Ineffective Tool For Identifying Nutrition Risk. Wendy won a free year of CNM DPG dues.
