Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) at Rutgers School of Health Professions

Monday, February 20, 2017 - Saturday, April 01, 2017 The Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) at Rutgers School of Health Professions is the first advanced practice nutrition doctorate exclusively for RDNs in the nation. Our program focuses on advanced clinical nutrition practice and research, with courses offered in an online learning environment combined with face-to-face virtual sessions. Students complete an advanced clinical nutrition practice residency and a practice based research project.  The advanced clinical nutrition practice residency is an approved advanced practice residency by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).  Our dedicated program faculty are committed to providing excellence in education and are nationally recognized experts in nutrition and oral health, kidney and cardiometabolic diseases and nutrition across the lifespan. They are at the  forefront of advanced practice in nutrition and dietetics.

According to our 2016 survey of alumni:

Coursework: 50 credits including 5 credits of advanced practice clinical residency and 8 credits of practice based research.
